Card battling can be tricky, and if you're challenging a moderately good opponent with no strategies, you'll be beaten quite efficiently. So, learn how to turn the game around in your favour with these advanced strategies.
Mega-Based Deck
(needs to be ported to the wiki!)
The Deck relies on drawing and playing two Megas in each turn, using the limits of your S-Energy. The deck contains about 20-28 Megas, a few Rookies and a few Programs. All of the same colour.
A great hand is three DemiDevimons, Apokarimon, Armageddemon, and any Program. Your two Megas will drain your entire pool of S-Energy. The DemiDevimons, being Rookies, can be used for free, and will summon something. The Program will hopefully be something which can make things easier now or give you more S-Energy.
The big problem with this type of deck is that it can be countered. If the opponent can drain any of your S-Energy, you'll lose up to half your first power, and if they do it again, you'll lose both.
A variation of this strategy is to use Ultimates instead of Megas for their summoning abilities, or to use both Megas and Ultimates.
The Summon Deck Strategy
(needs to be ported to the wiki!)
This type of deck relies on summoning - both with Summon cards and card combos - to achieve its victories, and it works on two levels.
The deck will preferably have four Trade Charges, four Digimon Charges, and four of at least one type of Digimon and its Summon card. Now, for example, you could play a white and black deck with Angemon and Devimon, or maybe a black, white and green deck with the same plus Palmon. It's up to you.
So, let's say your hand is two Devimons, a Trade Charge, a Digimon Charge, a Summon Devimon and a Tsukaimon. You use Trade Charge to bring another Summon Devimon or another Devimon to your hand at the cost of Tsukaimon. You then use Digimon Charge to bring another Devimon in. So, your hand now stands at four Devimons and a Summon Devimon or three Devimons and two Summon Devimons.
Now, you deploy your three or four Devimons, which would give you a good summon anyway. But, you go ahead and use your Summon Devimon card(s). So, you've now got five Devimons on the field, which will get you a great Summon and hopefully win you the game.
In a better scenario (for this round, at least), the Trade Charge and the Tsukaimon would be Devimons, Summon Devimons or Digimon Charges.
