ARENA TOURNAMENTS

Ordered By:
  Grade A

Grade A is aimed primarily at Ultimates. Victory here grants access to the ultimate tournament, Grade S. Your Digimon: Andromon, Digitamamon, Etemon, Giromon, HerculesKabuterimon, MegaSeadramon, Megadramon, Mamemon, Metal Greymon, Metal Mamemon, Monzaemon, Phoenixmon, Piximon, Skull Greymon (NOTE: Rookie Digimon not on this list can enter the Tournament, but it may result in your Tamer Level being decreased as a result. Champions can generally enter without penalty) Possible Opponents: Vermilimon, Guardromon, Tankmon, Andromon, Digitamamon, Etemon, Giromon, Megadramon, Mamemon, Metal Greymon, Metal Mamemon, Piximon, Skull Greymon, Myotismon All of the opponents here are very powerful. There are no holds barred on which Techniques can be used here, so expect to see the really dangerous ones like Aurora Freeze, Thunder Bolt, Infinity Burn and DG Dimension. The most vital Parameter here is Speed, so you can get in and attack before the opponents can.

  Grade B

Grade B is aimed at stronger Champions and weaker Ultimates. Expect to encounter some difficult fights here. Your Digimon: Greymon, Meramon, Drimogemon, Tyrannomon, Numemon, Nanimon, Sukamon, Monochromon, Vegiemon, Centarumon, Birdramon, Angemon, Bakemon, Devimon, Seadramon, Whamon, Kokatorimon, Shellmon, Kuwagamon, Kabuterimon, Ogremon, Leomon, Mojyamon, Garurumon, Frigimon, Airdramon, Unimon (NOTE: Rookie Digimon not on this list can enter the Tournament, but it may result in your Tamer Level being decreased as a result) Possible Opponents: Greymon, Meramon, Drimogemon, Tyrannomon, Monochromon, Centarumon, Birdramon, Angemon, Bakemon, Devimon, Kokatorimon, Kabuterimon, Ogremon, Leomon, Mojyamon, Garurumon, Frigimon, Airdramon, Unimon, Akotorimon, Hyogamon, Ice Devimon, Piddomon, Gururumon, ShimaUnimon, NiseDrimogemon, Saberdramon, PlatinumSukamon, Darkrizamon, Rockmon, Vermilimon, Tekkamon, Guardromon, Tankmon, Myotismon This is where it starts getting really difficult. Again, any Champion is permitted to enter, so pick a good one which you are comfortable with. You should probably avoid the weaker Champions (the likes of Bakemon, Mojyamon and Vegiemon) and obviously anything that begins with Nume-, Nani- or Suka-. Numerous Digimon have been dropped from the Possible Opponents list. The six new additions to the opponent roster are very dangerous; Rockmon is an Ice-wielding Champion/Ultimate, Vermilimon is an Ultimate which is essentially a powered-up Monochromon, Tekkamon is a downgraded Champion form of Giromon who uses Mech Techniques, and Guardromon is a Champion with the ability to use Mech Techniques. Tankmon is just brutal - it is only a Champion Digimon (ironically, it is the most powerful "wild" Digimon in the game), but its ability to use Mech Techniques and other powerful Techniqes makes it a formidable foe. Myotismon is an Ultimate, and typically uses the strongest Techniques from his available types. Some powerful techniques are used in this Tournament, and unless you're using an Ultimate of your own, you'll just have to put up with the Champion Mech trio in this Tournament using Mech Techniques against you.

  Grade C

Grade C is aimed at stronger Rookies and weaker Champions. It is more difficult than the Grade D tournament on every level. Your Digimon: Agumon, Gabumon, Palmon, Betamon, Kunemon, Elecmon, Penguinmon, Biyomon, Patamon, Greymon, Meramon, Drimogemon, Tyrannomon, Numemon, Nanimon, Sukamon, Monochromon, Vegiemon, Centarumon, Birdramon, Angemon, Bakemon, Devimon, Seadramon, Whamon, Kokatorimon, Shellmon, Kuwagamon, Kabuterimon, Ogremon, Leomon, Mojyamon, Garurumon, Frigimon, Airdramon, Unimon (NOTE: Ultimate Digimon not on this list can enter the Tournament, but it may result in your Tamer Level being decreased as a result) Possible Opponents: Snow Agumon, Snow Goburimon, Otamamon, Greymon, Meramon, Drimogemon, Tyrannomon, Numemon, Nanimon, Sukamon, Monochromon, Vegiemon, Centarumon, Birdramon, Angemon, Bakemon, Devimon, Kokatorimon, Shellmon, Kuwagamon, Kabuterimon, Ogremon, Leomon, Mojyamon, Garurumon, Frigimon, Airdramon, Unimon, PlatinumSukamon, Geremon, Akotorimon, MoriShellmon, Hyogamon, Red Vegiemon, Ice Devimon, Piddomon, Gururumon, MudFrigimon, ShimaUnimon, NiseDrimogemon, Saberdramon, PlatinumSukamon, Darkrizamon This is a bit tougher than the Grade D tournament. The opponent Digimon can be a lot more varied, have higher Parameters, and can use more powerful Techniques. You have a huge selection of Digimon to choose from, so choose a good one. You can use any Champion, so choose one that you're good with, but most of them can see you through this tournament.

  Grade D

Grade D is aimed at Rookies. It is a usually a very gentle tournament by comparison to the others, with opponents typically having low Parameters all round and weak Techniques. Your Digimon: Agumon, Gabumon, Palmon, Betamon, Kunemon, Elecmon, Penguinmon, Biyomon, Patamon (NOTE: Champion and Ultimate Digimon not on this list can enter the Tournament, but it may result in your Tamer Level being decreased as a result) Possible Opponents: Agumon, Gabumon, Palmon, Patamon, Kunemon, Elecmon, Penguinmon, Biyomon, Betamon, Muchomon, Tsukaimon, Goburimon, Psychemon, ModokiBetamon, Dokunemon, Aruraumon, Snow Agumon, Snow Goburimon, Otamamon, Gotsumon This is usually a nice, easy tournament for a well-trained Digimon, but it can still be a challenge for new Digimon.   Grade S

Grade S is the ultimate Grade tournament. You need to have won the Grade A tournament at least once to even make it appear on the timetable. Your Digimon: Andromon, Digitamamon, Etemon, Giromon, HerculesKabuterimon, MegaSeadramon, Megadramon, Mamemon, Metal Greymon, Metal Mamemon, Phoenixmon, Piximon, Skull Greymon Possible Opponents: Andromon, Digitamamon, Giromon, Megadramon, Metal Greymon, Metal Mamemon, Myotismon (!), Skull Greymon, Vademon Criteria: You must have won the Grade A torunament at least once. Prepare for pain. Every single opponent is at Ultimate level, and all but two of them are Mech types. It's not uncommon for them to have HP in the 7000-9000 range, with their other Parameters at very high levels and very powerful attacks to go with it. If you don't have enough Digimon recruited to fill all seven opponent positions without having duplicates, the game may allow the Recruited version of your partner Digimon to join in, or it may bring in a random battle Digimon. What can you expect to encounter? Well, it's rare that Metal Greymon and Megadramon aren't in there, and Vademon is another regular. Skull Greymon often appears, as does Andromon. If you're really unlucky, you could even end up facing the unplayable Myotismon...

  Special Tournaments

Most of the Tournaments are not Grade Tournaments, but are Special Tournaments. These fall into two categories: Type and Version.

Type Tournaments involve Digimon belonging to a certain type or characteristic. For instance, it may invovle only Digimon who have characteristics related to ice, or Digimon who are vaguely humanoid.

Version Tournaments are among Digimon of the same Version. Each Digimon in the game has a Version, and can be Version 1, Version 2, Version 3, Version 4 or Version 0.
