Tai wonders if his sister Kari is the eight child because she was also present in the digimon fight four years ago. Elsewhere near the balcony the family cat, Miko, knocks over a digivice and chases after it. Meanwhile, Raremon has appeared and is already wreaking havoc near the bay of the city.
Izzy checks his computer and a message from Gennai informs him that all the other digi destined are asleep in their homes, including Tai. Izzy feels that going to each home to wake up the others would waste time so he goes after Raremon himself. During the confrontation with Raremon, Izzy's digivice indicates that another digivice, possibly the eight child's, is nearby.
While as Kabuterimon defeats Raremon, Izzy goes after the signal but the cat loses to a number of animals. A crow swoops by and graps the digivice and Izzy is unable to follow it.

Episode 32 - Gatomon Comes Calling

The city is in a widespread panic due to recent digimon sightings and bizarre weather patterns. Sora, Mimi, Tai, and Izzy are out looking for the eight child out in the city before Myotismon can find him or her. Meanwhile Kari, Tai's sister, is out in the park and one of Myotismon's henchmen crosses paths with her. Gatomon wonders is that girl is the eighth child.
Elsewhere Mimi and Sora find SkullMeramon. Togemon and Birdramon are unable to stop him even though they give their best efforts. Greymon, Tai, Kabuterimon, and Izzy appear but they still seems to be no match for him.
Greymon digivolves into his ultimate, MetalGreymon, and is able to stop SkullMeramon once and for all. The team had no luck in finding the eighth child but continue to search for whoever it may be.

Matt is taking his brother T.K. home on the train when Patamon and T.K. get into a fight. Patamons flies away leaving Matt, T.K, and Gabumon looking for him. Instead though they run into two of Myotismon's henchmen known as Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon. They all run around the town causing mischief and other damage to the city.
Myotismon shows up and they henchmen don't have the heart to attack the two kids. So he blasts them and they disappear. T.K and Matt think they died but it turned out they were just sent back to the Digital World. T.K gets upset from this and Patamon shows up again and digivolves into Angemon. Myotsimon flees an impending battle and the digi destined continue to search for the eight child.

Just as Pixiemon appears to save the DigiDestined he is unfortunately defeated by the all powerful Piedmon. But this was the only chance for escape and the digital heroes took it. They managed to get away from Piedmon and ended up on the shores of one of the Digital Worlds oceans.
Shellmon, once again just as before attacks the team but during the time spent in the Real World the Digimon got strong enough to defeat him with ease. Disappointed, MetalSeadramon sends one of his better followers to attack. Scorpiomon nearly succeeds in defeating the lot but Zudomon and Lilymon make short work of him.
MetalSeadramon appears once more and the team fears that they are not yet powerful enough to defeat him. Are they?

WarGreymon is just about to be destroyed by MetalSeadramon when Whamon steps in and takes the hit for WarGreymon. While MetalSeadramon is stunned that he missed WarGreymon use an attack of his own "River of Power" and ultimately destroys MetalSeadramon. Tai becomes excited to be able to fight and defeat the rest of the Dark Masters.
Puppetmon makes a plan to destroy the kids. He makes "voodoo" dolls of them and using them seperates Matt and T.K from the rest. Puppetmon corners T.K. and a Kiwimon attacks the others. Puppetmon is tricked by T.K. and smashes his dolls. Kiwimon is defeated by the digimon of the digi destined. Puppetmon vows to get revenge on T.K. and Matt seems to have disappeared.

Episode 44 - Trash Day

Matt has mysteriously walked out on the group. Reason being is that he is unsure of what his purpose is with the Digi-Destined. He has also noticed that the others have become stronger making him less confident. Taking advantage of his unstable condition Cherrymon, a tree digimon, convinces Matt that he must defeat Tai if he is ever going to be able to get ahead.
Elsewhere, Puppetmon and his henchmen, Garbagemon, attack the others. MetalGreaymon and Lilymon take care of a few Garbagemon but eventually get overpowered. Then suddenly out of nowhere Matt and MetalGarurumon suddenly appear and defeat the last of the attackers.
Tai and Mat get into a vocal argument about who should be leading the group while WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon are standing by ready to protect their partner. Eventually Tai and Matt get into a fist fight and their digimon get into one massive brawl!

Episode 45 - The Ultimate Clash

Matt begins to argue about why they were chosen to become the digidestined and Tai gets into an argument with him. MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon begin to fight each other defending each of their partners. Matt and Tai begin fist fighting and everyone becomes upset.
Puppetmon, elsewhere, is laughing because this was his plan from the start. To separate the team from each other. An entity takes over Kari's body. Everyone starts to fly into the sky. The entity explains to them that they are surrounded by computer images from the past. The team is shown why and how they were chosen. The crests represent the best quality that the kids each had during the attack four years ago. If they lose that quality a digimon will become corrupt.
Matt wants to be alone after the story and leaves. Mimi wants to stay where they are and Joe stays with her to keep her company. Everyone else departs on their own way.

SaberLeomon meet Mimi and Joe and takes them to a safe place with Ogremon. Along the way they meet Otamamon and Geckomon. Elsewhere Puppetmon challenges the others to go into a crow of tough and mean RedVegimon who are destroyed by the team later on. Puppetmon is angered by what he sees so he give life to his house and crushes the kids inside.
MetalEtemon confronts Leomon while he is with the Joe and Mimi, and the rest of the digimon. Leomon is forced to digivolve into his mega and the fight. Joe senses that SaberLeomon will need help so he has Gommamon digivolve into Zudomon to help beat MetalEtemon.
In the mansion Puppetmon tries to control MetalGarurumon to attack the team.But he refuses to be controlled and ultimately destroys Puppetmon.
During the fight SaberLeomon is injured and become seriously ill on the brink of death. He tells a saddened Mimi that he will return to the Village of Beginnings. Zudomon uses his Vulcan's Hammer to crack open MetalEtemon's chest and beat him. Mimi and Joe vow to beat the Drak Masters and restore the village for a safe return of Leomon.

Episode 48 - My Sister's Keeper

The desert heat proves to be to much on young Kari. She collapses on the desert ground and Tai becomes angry with himself that a few years ago her death was very near for his own carelessness of her.
As her recalls, all he wanted to do was play soccer while his sister was home sick. And rather than staying home like he was supposed to he instead took her out and played soccer with friends and she ended up going to the hospital.
Kabuterimon carries the team to a nearby city where Kari can rest while Tai and the others search for some medicine. Izzy, being the internet genius that he is tracks down the perfect medicine only to have Machinedramon trace the signal and track them down. Izzy once again uses his skills to throw Machinedramon and his forces off track and he and Tai manage to escape with the medicine.
The two return to find that the sanctuary where Kari was being kept safe by Gatomon is being bombarded with missiles. The others narrowly escaped the blast only to run into another building for hiding which Machinedramon once again destroys.

Episode 49 - The Crest Of Light

As the building collapses the team Digi-Destined and the digimon fall into the sewers beneath Machinedramon's city. Sora, Biyomon, and Patamon manage to find T.K, Kari, and Gatomon. With Izzy, Tai, Tentomon, and Agumon nowhere to be found the six are helpless.
As Sora and her group search for Tai, they run into WaruMonzaemon. He is the owner and the enslaved Numemon in the area. The Numemon plead for help from the Digi-Destined and somehow a strange bright light emerges from Kari. The light made the digimon stronger and with it they managed to overcome the evil WaruMonzaemon. The Numemon are now freed from his clutches.
Sora thinks the light should be followed as it may lead them to Tai. Now that WaruMonzaemon had been de-throned Machinedramon destroys him.
Tai and his group are on the lookout for the others and they end up finding Andromon. Unfortunately they run into Machinedramon and he destroys Andromon who had saved Tai and his group.
Once Tai and his group find Sora Machinedramon appears once again the light that Kari is showing enables WarGreymon to destroy Machindramon.

Episode 50 - Joe's Battle

LadyDevimon the beautiful, ruthless and powerful digimon stops the DigiDestined before they can go any further. Tai, thinking this would be an easy battle sends off Sora and T.K to find the rest of the team. This leaves now only Tai, Izzy, and Kari with their digimon to face off against LadyDevimon.
Elsewhere, Mimi and Joe find Elecmon in the destroyed village of New Beginnings and managed to convince him to join their cause. Joe suddenly announces to Mimi that he and Gomamon will leave to find their own purpose leaving Mimi and Palmon alone.
Angewoman faces off against LadyDevimon but once WarGreymon sees that she has trouble he quickly lends a helping hand to her. Once LadyDevimon is defeated the kids don't have any time to rest as now their greatest challenge ever has now appeared, Piedmon, the last of the Dark Masters.
