Agumon is, to many, the "default" rookie Digimon. He is featured in virtually every Digimon game so far (the only exception being Digimon Battle Spirit 2). He is a small but strong and courageous Digimon.

Agumon is one of the 2 starter digimon in this game, obtained by either answering Jijimon's questions saying you prefer the daytime and that you have a digivice, or by saying you prefer night and have friends. Agumon can be recruited to the city as well, he is the first digimon you fight, and you have to fight him from the moment you enter Native Forest. The game doesn't allow you to leave the forest until you deal with Agumon so once you step in, battle is inevitable.

Agumon runs the item shop, handy if you need to store valuable items for later use.

Agumon is also one of the cards you can collect, essential for obtaining a medal.

In this game, Agumon can digivolve into Greymon, Meramon, Centarumon, Birdramon, Monochromon and Tyrannomon.

Agumon can also digivolve to Bakemon via special digivolution.

Agumon is a playable digimon in this game. You can either obtain him from start packs A or B. Alternatively, you can obtain Agumon's DDNA and give it to his DRi agent to obtain him.

You can also use Agumon as a playable monster card in the Card Battle side quest.

Agumon can learn any of these Champion level digivolutions: Greymon, Angemon, Devimon, Dinohumon, ExVeemon, Grizzmon, Growlmon, Hookmon, Kabuterimon, Kyubimon, Stingmon.
