Betamon is a Rookie level digimon. Their name comes from the word "beta", which is a type of radiation with a negative charge. As such, Betamon use electricity as the basis for most of their attacks. They live out in forests and near lakes, and are docile.

When angered however, they store electricity and discharge it to cause major electric damage to the opponent. This is their special technique Electric Shock.

Betamon is a playable digimon in this game, obtainable from Tanemon. You can also recruit Betamon to the city. You do not have to fight him though, you only need to talk to him.

Betamon can digivolve to Seadramon, Whamon, Shellmon and Coelamon.

Betamon can also special digivolve to Bakemon.
