This virus form of WarGreymon is greatly feared and called the "Black Knight". It hates cowards and sneaks and doesn't associate with vulgar Digimon even if they are also viruses. Unlike WarGreymon, he does not have the Crest of Courage on his Brave Shields.

• BlackWarGreymon is created from 100 Control Spires by Arukenimon in Digimon Adventure 02. BlackWarGreymon often fought against the heroes to reach his goal of defeating Azulongmon, because he questioned his existence, he often attacked his creator (Oikawa) as well, after having his chest smashed open, he gave his life to keep the digital gate open, allowing the adventurers to chase after Oikawa.

• BlackWarGreymon appears in card form and also as the final boss of Digimon Digital Card Battle.
• BlackWarGreymon is a playable Digimon in Digimon World 2003 and Digimon World 3. He also appears as an optional boss.
• BlackWarGreymon is an unlockable playable Digimon in Digimon Rumble Arena. He is possibly the hardest Digimon to unlock, as the player must complete the 1-Player Mode without losing a single round, defeating BlackWarGreymon in a boss fight during the sixth fight, to unlock him.
• BlackWarGreymon is a playable Digimon in Digimon Rumble Arena 2, as the third level form of BlackAgumon.
• BlackWarGreymon is a playable Digimon in Digimon World DS.
• BlackWarGreymon is a playable Digimon in Digimon World Dawn and Digimon World Dusk.
