DarkTyrannomon, a virus type Digimon, is a powerful dinosaur Digmon that attakcs with Fire and Darkness. It is a Tyrannomon that has been infected by a virus, dying its body black, and making it wicked.

In the first season of the Digimon Television Series, Dark Tyrannomon appeared in Episode 35, "Flower Power". He was part of Myotismon's army to help stop the 7 Digidestined from finding the 8th Digidestined so he could rule the world without any problems. As he attacked the innocent people captured by Myotismon for his search for the 8th Child, Mimi's Crest of Sincerity shone and Togemon digivolved into Lilymon for the first time, and tamed the beast with a ring of flowers, calming it and ceasing it's attack. Upset, Myotismon sent DarkTyrannomon back to the digital world.
