Digimon World DS Digivolution Guide
From Digimon - Wiki on Neoseeker
What is digivolution? When Digimon obtain a certain amount of XP, they will "digivolve" to the next rank/phrase. Some digimon require more than XP to digivolve, such as DE's. When digivolution occurs, the following changes will take place: Status Increase, Level Change, and Trait Added.
What is degeneration? As the game progresses, you will be able to degenerate Digimon. You will be able to do this once you've received the degeneration chip from Phil - Silver Rank. Your digimon's status will decrease, but its level cap will increase. Level cap increase vary depending on how far in ranks you degenerate (Mega to In-training resulting in the most increase). The traits will remain the same. You can degenerate a Digimon several ranks at a time, as mentioned.
How do you digivolve/degenerate digimon? Simply go to your digimon's status page and choose View Stats -> Digivolution Route. Then simply move your cursor using the D-pad and select either digivolve or degenerate to proceed.
Following is the list of all digivolutions in the game: (Legends: I = In-Training, R = Rookie, C = Champion, U = Ultimate, M = Mega
