Garurumon is a Champion level digimon. They are large wolf digimon that live out in Freezeland. Garurumon are fairly tame digimon and most will not attack a stranger. Some will even be helpful to the wandering digimon. They have big, powerful teeth for crunching with, used to destroy the enemy's weapon.

Their special technique does not involve use of their teeth however, rather it is a long, more powerful version of Gabumon's Blue Blaster. It is called Howling Blaster.

Garurumon was the Champion form of Matt's partner Gabumon. Garurumon only appeared on a few of the episodes, as Gabumon will only digivolve if his tame Matt is in serious trouble.

Garurumon is a playable digimon on this game, and you can also recruit one to the city. You have to fight him twice in Freezeland to recruit him. The first time is a normal battle, the second time, however, is different. This time it has to be next morning, and you can't use items or give your digimon it's commands. Your partner can only rely on itself for the match.

Garurumon works as one of the chef's in the restaurant.

Garurumon digivolves from Gabumon or Penguinmon, and can digivolve to SkullGreymon and MegaSeadramon.

Garurumon can also special digivolve to vademon if it's age reaches 15 days. When this requirement is fulfilled, there is a 50% chance of Garurumon digivolving to Vademon.
