Koushiro "Izzy" Izumi is a fictional character in the popular anime and comic series, Digimon. Partnered with Tentomon, he is a Digi-Destined or Chosen Child who traveled in the Digital World in the first season with several other children. Izzy is a whiz with technology, and carries his laptop with him everywhere. He was adopted, and when he found out before his adoptive parents told him the truth, he became distanced from them and more focused on his computer. Eventually, though, he discovered that a parent is more than just biological, and accepts his adoptive parents. In the first season, he often exclaims "Prodigious!" in the English dub. He is the bearer of the Crest of Knowledge, and is an important character in both the first and second seasons of the anime.
