Marsmon is a small, bipedal mega Digimon boasting great power and courage. Its appearance is similiar to that of a beast man, though it is often recognized as a Shaman Digimon. Its prominent facial features, a pair of long tusks and a huge, upright, horn greatly resemble those of Ikkakumon, but no further resemblance is found between the two. Marsmon's upper half is mostly red with a light grey head and metallic wristbands and gloves. Its arms are heavily muscled with a thick stream of fire nearly covering them. The lower half of its body has a variety of colors ranging from a deep red, to a pale, almost grey, blue. Marsmon also wears a black, red, and purple cape on its back.

Marsmon is a member of The Olympus Twelve, a group of Digimon found primarily in the card game and based on the twelve Olympian gods of Greek Mythology. Though its name derives from Mars, the god of war, it is noted for its sense of justice and courage.
