Meramon (メラモン Meramon) is a humanoid Digimon of the vaccine type. They are beings made entirely of flames, and are very aggressive. They use to conglomerate on mountains, and usually are the source of forest fires. Their special attack is the Heat Wave, on which they rise up their body temperature in an attempt to create an unbearably hot environment.

There were Meramon who lived in the mountains near the Yokomon village. These mountains were the source of water for the village, and when Meramon was possessed by a Black Gear, he attacked the village and caused the water to dry up, creating problems for the Yokomon.

Meramon was defeated by Birdramon, and came back to his senses.

Meramon appears as both a partner digimon and a boss in this game.

Meramon is fought as a boss at Lava Cave in Drill Tunnel, and has 2600 HP.

Meramon is obtainable as a partner from Agumon only by getting its attack to 100+, getting its weight to 20 and making 5 or more care mistakes.

Meramon can digivolve to MetalGreymon or Andromon.

Meramon can also special digivolve to Vademon if it lives up to 15 days old. When this requirement is met, there is a 50% chance of Meramon digivolving into Vademon.
