Nanimon was the training coach of some of Myotismon's minions, Sukamon, Chuumon and Vegiemon in this series.

He was supposed to be making these digimon tougher to fight with Myotismon, but when Agumon and Palmon who snuck in dressed up gave signal, the other Digi-Destined came with digivolves partners and Nanimon along with his group fled.

Nanimon is an obtainable partner digimon and you can also recruit one to the city in this game. You need to find Nanimon in 5 locations to recruit him. You only have to talk to him though, not battling is necessary, and Nanimon increases the amount of items you can hold at once as well.

Nanimon can be obtained from any Rookie digimon, he is obtained via special digivolution. When your Rookie has 0% Happiness and 0% Discipline, scold it, and it will instantly digivolve to Nanimon.

Nanimon can digivolve to Digitamamon.

Nanimon can also special digivolve to Vademon, it it's age reaches 15 days. When this requirement is fulfilled, there is a 50% chance of Nanimon digivolving to Vademon.
