Nanimon (ナニモン "Nanimon") is a mutant champion Digimon of the virus type. They are enigmatic beings said to just "appear" on the Digital World. Nanimon have a completely spherical body and extremely toned arms and legs; they also portray boots and gloves similar to those of luchadores. They know no shame and will use Poop Throw as a viable way to attack and possibly humiliate their opponents. Their names derive from the expression "何物", which translates into "What [is that] thing?" or "Who's that?".

[edit] Digimon Adventure

Nanimon was the training coach of some of Myotismon's minions, Sukamon, Chuumon and Vegiemon in this series. He was supposed to be making these digimon tougher to fight with Myotismon, but when Agumon and Palmon who snuck in dressed up gave signal, the other Digi-Destined came with digivolves partners and Nanimon along with his group fled.

[edit] Digimon World

Nanimon is an obtainable partner digimon and you can also recruit one to the city in this game. You need to find Nanimon in 5 locations to recruit him. You only have to talk to him though, not battling is necessary, and Nanimon increases the amount of items you can hold at once as well.

Nanimon can be obtained as a partner from any rookie Digimon. For a Digimon to become Nanimon, they must be scolded until their happiness and discipline bars drop to 0; after that, the player must keep constantly scolding the Digimon until it evolves.

[edit] Digimon Digital Card Battle

Nanimon appears as a post-game tamer the player can face on various locations; the player has to beat him in Junk City before being able to see him at other locations. Its "Who are you?" deck is a possible translation of his Japanese name; its strategy consists of posing reckless moves and plenty of Jamming support skills. Beating him enough times grants the player a Grand Sevens card.

Nanimon is also a playable card. It is a rare speciality champion card with no support effect.
