Numemon is a slug-like Digimon with green and purple skin, a huge mouth and tongue, and two large eyeballs on top of two thin bits of skin on its head. It moves by gliding across the floor on its slimy skin or by jumping to move at speed. It is shown in Digimon World that it can extend two arm-like appendages from its sides when it wishes to. It eats and fights using Digimon poop, and it is very similar to Geremon, but slightly darker.
Anime Appearances
- In Digimon Adventure, the Numemon have a collective crush on Mimi, and follow her to Toy Town where they help Palmon (and eventually Togemon) to defeat the brainwashed Monzaemon. They return to help the Digi-Destined in their fight against Machinedramon and heroically fight to the point of being exterminated to aid the Digi-Destined in defeating the mighty metal dragon.
Game Appearances
- In Digimon World, Numemon is a playable Digimon. It is considered the 'booby prize', being much weaker than most Champion Digimon and being what the player gets if they fail to reach the requirements for another Champion Digimon during the Rookie Phase. It is one of only two Champion Digimon who does not have a Digivolution Item (the other being Sukamon), can Digivolve from any of the nine available Rookie Digimon, and can Digivolve to Monzaemon. It plays an important role in the storyline, as it is required that the player have a Numemon (or a pre-raised) Monzaemon) to play the Toy Town section of the game. Numemon also appears in Factorial Town, and helps the player thwart the plans of the brainwashed Giromon. However, the brainwashing appears to spread to him before Giromon is beaten, and Numemon has the wonderful status of being the weakest boss in the whole game, with a measly 200 HP.
- In Digimon World 2, Numemon is a playable Digimon.
- In Digimon Digital Card Battle, Numemon is a playable card of the Rare type.
- In Digimon World 2003 and Digimon World 3, various versions of Numemon appear in story events and random battles.
- In Digimon World 4/X, Numemon is a typical enemy Digimon throughout early stages of the game. A giant Numemon appears as a secret boss character.
- In Digimon Racing, Numemon sits on the Toy Town track, and fly up to obscure the screen of a player when hit.
- In Digimon Story/Digimon World DS, Numemon reprises his role as the 'booby prize', and is only obtainable if an attempt at matching failed to result in a different Digimon. He is also the subject of major affection by a certain Tamer.
