Otamamon is a Rooke level digimon. They are tadpole digimon who live in swampy marshes. Being tadpoles though, they are weaker than most Rookie digimon and so hide out until they digivolve into Gekomon. They shoot bubbles to attack when they are angered though.

Otamamon first appeared as a minor role in Episode 25, "Princess Karaoke". When the Digi-Destined split up to search for Tai, Mimi found herself at a Palace run by Otamamons and Gekomons. Unable to wake their master, ShogunGekomon, DemiDevimon told them that Mimi would be able to wake him up through her singing. However, wanting to be Pampered, Mimi always stopped signing before waking their master to enjoy more time as a princess. She used the Otamamon and the Gekomon as servants, and ordered them to lock Tai and Joe up for trying to trick her to singing and ending her time as a Princess. However, she had a nightmare, and Sora came and convinced her to help her friends. She sang the entire song, and woke up an angry ShogunGeckomon, from which a battle enraged between it, Ikkakumon Togemon, and MetalGreymon. After the battle, Tai, Joe, and Mimi left the palace in search of the other Digi-Destined, keeping the Gekomon and Otamamon as distant friends.

Otamamon is a boss you can fight in this game. He is sometimes found at the entrance of Geko Swamp, you can choose whether you battle him or not. The only way to gain access to Volume Villa is to beat him though, however he is an easy digimon to beat.

Otamamon is a playable monster card in the Card Battle side quest.
